What is the difference between static and animated overlays?

Static versions of our overlays include mostly .png images with transparent background - it's a great choice if you don't want to overload your PC. Animated overlays, on the other hand, are packed with seamlessly looping videos with gorgeous effects and animations - that's your choice if you want to take your stream to the next level. But don't worry, our static packs have some animated assets that won't affect your PC's performance - alerts and stinger transitions are animated in any pack of your choice.

When will I receive my order?

You'll receive your order instantly after successful payment.

Can I get the source files?

Although we don't usually provide the source files, there may be some exceptions, such as customizable .PSDs or After Effects project files. You can find the relevant information in the contents section of each product page.

Where is my download link?

You can access your download link in 3 places: 1) Instant access after a successful purchase 2) E-Mail letter (don't forget to check your spam folder, if you haven't received the letter) 3) Orders section in your profile (if you have an account). If none of these work, please contact us with the number of your order through the beacon located at the bottom right corner of our website.

Can I get a refund?

Since your purchase is a digital product, it is deemed “used” after download or opening, and all purchases made on KUDOS.TV are non-refundable or exchangeable. Since the products made available here are intangible, there is a strict no refund policy. The onus is on you, as a consumer, to make responsible decisions about the purchases you make online.

My overlay isn't working, what should I do?

The most common cause of this problem is that your overlay's folder wasn't extracted to C:/ drive. Just extract the archive with your files directly to the C:/ drive of your computer, import your OBS scene files from there and everything will work straight away. In case you're still having issues feel free to get in touch and we'll do our best to help you!

It's Good - Would Love to See Capabilities Expand

Does the job and I can't wait to see how chat interacts with my A.I. bot.

The voices sound way too robotic unfortunately. I don't know if that's a product of what's available to the developer but I'd love to see expanded options like some of the realistic voices found on Eleven labs. The functionality to preview the voices without spending money on openai would be nice too. I have to send a message to myself on obs to hear what the voice sounds like every time.

I would also love the ability to have the bot respond to me speaking through my microphone, so it could receive the speech to text then respond to it. I don't know if this functionality is already possible, and if it is, I'd love the developer to provide insight on how that functionality can tie into this addon.

Our primary goal with this widget is to offer a simple, accessible, and cost-effective way for streamers to incorporate AI companions into their streams. We wanted to avoid the hassle of requiring third-party software or subscriptions to various services, which can be complicated for users who don’t have advanced technical knowledge.

1. Robotic voices: You're absolutely right that the voices can sound a bit robotic. The voices currently come from StreamElements’ native TTS system, which is completely free for users and doesn't require any extra accounts (unlike services such as Eleven Labs). While we recognize they aren't as realistic, we opted for simplicity and zero cost to help make it accessible to everyone.

2. Previewing voices: This feature is actually already included! You can use the command (by default, '!say') to have the bot read any text aloud. You don't even need to be live to test it—you can send the command in your Twitch chat while offline and hear the voice in OBS. It doesn't use any OpenAI API tokens either, so no extra costs!

3. AI responding to microphone input: While we understand the appeal of this feature, it would require the companion to be a separate app installed on your computer. This would complicate the setup process and might feel risky for many users, which is why we’ve focused on keeping the widget browser-based and simple to use.
