What is a Stream Decoration?
What is a Stream Decoration?
A stream decoration is an animated overlay element that adds visual effects to your live stream — falling snow, rain, sparkles, floating particles, borders, or seasonal effects. Unlike full overlays that frame your entire layout, decorations are standalone elements you layer on top of any scene to add ambiance or fill empty space.
Our stream decorations come in .webm and .mov formats with transparent backgrounds, ready to use in OBS Studio and Streamlabs. Just add a Media Source and position the decoration over your scene. Browse free decorations to try them out, pair decorations with a matching overlay package, or explore all stream overlays for a complete look.

Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a stream decoration?
A stream decoration is a standalone animated overlay — falling snow, rain, sparkles, floating particles, or border effects — that you layer on top of your stream scene. Unlike full stream overlay packages, decorations are individual elements designed to add ambiance to any existing layout.
How do I add a stream decoration in OBS?
In OBS Studio, add a Media Source to your scene and select the .webm decoration file. Check the "Loop" box so the effect plays continuously. Position and resize the source to cover your scene. The transparent background lets the decoration layer over your existing overlays.
What streaming software do decorations work with?
Our decorations work with OBS Studio, Streamlabs Desktop, and StreamElements. Each decoration is delivered in .webm and .mov formats, which are supported by any streaming software that can play video files with transparency.
Can I customize the colors of a stream decoration?
Many of our decorations come in multiple color variations. You can also use the color correction and LUT filters in OBS Studio to shift hues and match the decoration to your stream’s color scheme.
Do you have seasonal stream decorations?
Yes. We carry seasonal decorations including Christmas snow, Halloween effects, and holiday-themed particles. Seasonal decorations are a quick way to update your stream for events or holidays without replacing your entire overlay setup.
What file formats are included?
Every stream decoration includes both .webm and .mov video files with transparent backgrounds. The .webm format is recommended for OBS Studio and Streamlabs due to smaller file size. The .mov format is included as a backup for software that does not support .webm.
